Items for daily use should look good as well as being functional. This is particularly true for items that are on always in sight at home or in the workplace. The SCENICVIEW P22W-3 and SCALEOVIEW Q22 displays from Fujitsu Siemens Computers successfully combine both these traits, which explains why they were honored with the iF product design award 2008 by iF International Forum Design GmbH. “We are delighted that both our products have been distinguished with this award”, says Ralf Lanzrath, Senior Director Communications, Fujitsu Siemens Computers.

This internationally renowned competition has been in place for more than 50 years and is one of the oldest of its kind. Fujitsu Siemens Computers took first place amongst strong competition:  2,771 products from 35 countries were evaluated. “We now have a long series of first-rate and significant design success stories, which of course makes us particularly proud of our performance. The award allows us to compare ourselves in an international environment and to make our exacting demands for high-class and esthetic design accessible to the public at large,” Ralf continued.

The SCENICVIEW P22W-3 unifies perfect ergonomics and improved functionality with elegant design. With its flexible stand, the display lends itself perfectly to every application and every user; and, on account of its unique build concept, this display saves a great deal of space. Its functionally optimized ventilation openings and loudspeakers are discretely integrated in the black surface of the rear panel. The extremely slender space-saving frame is not only stylish, but also helps you to concentrate on what matters - namely what is on the display.

The SCALEOVIEW Q22 is the perfect all-rounder. Array microphones, integrated into the housing, and a camera make the display an ideal companion for video telephony. The microphones wipe out any acoustic and background noise, and the camera’s LED shows that data is being transmitted to a PC. The universal 22-inch display can communicate directly with all analog or digital auxiliary equipment or be used as a high-resolution TV set. The high-gloss black front, hovering in a fixed position in front of the main silver structure, characterizes this refined and high-quality slim product.

NEC Display Solutions of America, a leading stand-alone provider of commercial and residential LCD, plasma, and projector displays, today announced the 30-inch MultiSync LCD3090WQXi wide-screen display, which delivers innovative display performance for users in the graphic design, photography, print production, and CAD/CAM industries.

The LCD3090WQXi display can be seen at the 2008 Macworld Conference and Expo (NEC Display Booth No. 2438) today through January 18 at The Moscone Center in San Francisco.

An extension of the critically acclaimed MultiSync 90-Series, this 30-inch display is a 4-megapixel (2560 x 1600), wide-gamut, wide-screen LCD designed for professionals who require premium color performance.  The LCD3090WQXi features ColorComp™, which reduces LCD uniformity errors, and compensates for differences in color/grayscale and luminance, and advanced backlight technology, which enables the display to produce 102 percent of the NTSC color scale for unsurpassed color gradation.

The LCD3090WQXi also includes a 12-bit, internal look-up table (LUT), 2560 x 1600 resolution, and HDCP (High Bandwidth Digital Content Protection), which is supported through the DVI-D connector that allows for use with HDCP-equipped devices and encrypted content.

“This newest 90-Series display delivers the color-performance benefits that high-end professionals have come to expect and require from NEC,” said Stan Swiderski, Product Manager for NEC Display Solutions. “ Whether in pre- or post-production photography, digital animation, CAD/CAM design, or even soft-copy clinical viewing in the medical field, the MultiSync LCD3090WQXi arms end-users with sophisticated features and advanced functionality in order to deliver optimal output performance.”

The LCD3090WQXi incorporates in-plane switching (IPS) module technology, which is widely accepted by industry professionals as being the highest performing LCD technology available on the market, delivering unparalleled color reproduction and brightness uniformity by minimizing off-angle color shift, and clearer black tones in dark-colored images. The new 30-inch display is backed by a four-year parts and labor warranty.

The LCD3090WQXi is available for February 2008 shipment with an estimated street price of $2,199.99
