Panasonic repair service now in 2 days for LCD and HDTV

July 25, 2008

Newly Renamed VIERA Concierge Service Links All HDTV Customers with

Technical Experts to Answer Vital Questions

Panasonic just extended its unique and successful Plasma Concierge  free customer support program to both Panasonic Plasma and LCD HDTV owners and renamed it Panasonic VIERA Concierge. Previously only available for Panasonic HD Plasma owners, the exceptional service, which includes a toll-free customer support line,  provides Panasonic HDTV owners with quick access to technical experts via phone, web or in-home service for answers to a broad range of questions. One unique privilege is access to Panasonic’s HDTV loaner program, which makes HDTV loaners available at no charge to customers who have a Plasma or LCD undergoing repair.

Panasonic VIERA Concierge customers can get advice on set-up, operation, integration of their VIERA HDTV with other home entertainment components and support-related activities including troubleshooting issues.  The VIERA Concierge service also includes priority scheduling for in-home service visits, if necessary, with most repairs completed in two days.

“As a maker of highly rated Plasma and LCD flat panels, Panasonic is equally committed to all of our VIERA HDTV products,” said Robert Perry, Senior Vice President, Panasonic Display Group.   “By extending the VIERA Concierge Service to include our LCD displays, all of our HDTV customers can benefit from the award-winning technical support that distinguishes Panasonic from its competitors.”

As part of the VIERA Concierge service program, Panasonic HDTV owners receive a Concierge Benefits Card providing a customer ID and dedicated toll-free telephone number which entitles them to a range of valuable privileges within the United States.

Launched in June 2006, the VIERA Concierge program is administered by Panasonic’s Customer Call Center in Chesapeake, VA which has been recognized as a Certified “Center of Excellence” by the Center for Customer-Driven Qualityat Purdue University. This highly respected certification ranked Panasonic’s Call Center in the top 10 percent of the 20,000 call centers studied throughout North America.

“The Panasonic VIERA Concierge program is an industry first and has provided tremendous value to our Plasma customers,” said Mr. Perry.  By constantly speaking with consumers to understand their lifestyle needs and concerns, Panasonic’s VIERA Concierge experts continuously improve their abilities to solve the needs of our customers while providing peace of mind that Panasonic is standing behind its products.

Now both our Plasma and LCD customers have access to our experts and advanced support capabilities, and have a chance to experience Panasonic’s commitment to their satisfaction firsthand.”

Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. is honored to announce a long list of accolades presented at the Consumer Electronics Show for the company’s groundbreaking home and mobile entertainment technologies. In some cases, this is Pioneer®’s second year in a row being recognized as the product of the year. These awards emphasize Pioneer’s role as a technology manufacturer that has a passion for technology that brings great entertainment to life for consumers, sacrificing nothing in order to deliver the best.

After creating a new category in navigation, Pioneer’s AVIC-F500BT also known as the AVIC-LINC, was recognized as CNET Best of CES Finalist. This marked another milestone in navigation history as Pioneer introduced the world’s first hybrid navigation system combining the power of an in-dash device with the convenience of a portable system. Designed to integrate with virtually any factory audio system, the AVIC-F500BT allows consumers to add unparalleled navigation features and extended entertainment capabilities without modifying existing car stereos. Furthermore, the AVIC-F500BT will offer advanced voice technology for control of Apple iPod® music players and Bluetooth® enabled cellular phones

In addition to the mobile entertainment awards, an extensive series of awards recognize Pioneer’s KURO line of flat panel displays. With deep blacks, vivid colors and nearly three-dimensional picture quality, this line is widely known as the best televisions on the market today.

The Pioneer KURO PDP-6010FD was named Flat Panel of the Year and Product of the Year by Ultimate AV.com, marking the second year Pioneer has received this award.

The Elite® KURO PRO-110FD was also awarded Sound & Vision Magazine’s Video Product of the Year and Product of the Year, also for the second time. This product was a CEA Innovations Honoree.

At the Consumer Electronics Show, Pioneer displayed several working concept models under the code name Project KURO, showing the future of form and function for flat panel displays. The Advanced Design Concept Model was recognized for its 9MM thin design as a CNET Best of CES Finalist.

Additional awards garnered by KURO displays include:

  • J.D. Power Award for Highest Customer Satisfaction for HDTVs in 50″ - 65″
  • Wired — Platinum Award for best advertisement campaign (via readership survey)
  • Popular Science – “Best of What’s New” Grand Award for Home Entertainment
  • Perfect Vision (not Playback Magazine) — Editor’s Choice for Best Plasma
  • Computer Shopper — Hot 100 Technologies of 2007

It is fitting, with the company’s heritage in quality audio, that Pioneer’s flagship receiver, that the Elite SC-09TX, was also recognized as a CEA Innovations Honoree. This sophisticated powerhouse sets the benchmark for multi-channel sound in 1080p home theaters with pristine reproduction of emerging high resolution audio and high definition video formats.
